WcDONALD’s [2024]

In the world of anime, only one place can truly call itself the art form’s favorite restaurant: WcDonald’s...yep, not a typo - WcDonald’s.

Across decades Anime creators have featured McDs in over 20+ titles, often flipping the M ➡️ W to dodge corporate lawyers. So instead of issuing cease and desists, we embraced this creativity, flipping the Golden Arches and making WcDonald's real for fans.

We partnered with studio Pierrott to produce four weekly shorts and manga versions illustrated by Acky Bright, creating a vast universe for fans to explore. WcDonald’s became a sensation, sparking fan art, cosplays, a WcDonald’s Fortnite experience, and a sold-out activation in Los Angeles. We turned WcDonald’s from a cameo to a beloved fandom, bringing anime to life.
